So… as amazing as the package of reforms Labor had was… it was too much! The average voter can handle 1, 2 or 3 ideas tops. Beyond that makes their brain hurt. That’s why movie promos have the rule of 3. One Man. One Enemy. Giant Gun. Anything beyond that is too hard for many. Shorten had like 20 reforms. Morrison had 3 responses.
Just like GOT didn’t realise that people had TVs that made dark hard to see, politicians (who presumably have intelligence??) might not realise that voters don’t understand things the same way…
The solution is a radical left party with 3, and only 3, powerful reforms that will appeal strongly to 10% of the population. Get the preference votes to Labor/Greens
