Australia keeps flip-flopping between the Labour and Liberal parties, adopting the policies of each incrementally, and slowly and surely they are becoming the same. What we need is some fresh ideas that neither party are likely to advocate – ideas that can form the foundation of a new, fairer Australia.
Beginning with the economy we have:
Foreign Ownership Sales Tax – foreign-owned businesses in Australia ship their profits home. This gives us a slice of that.
Long-Term Rent Bonuses – replace negative gearing by incentivising longer residential rental agreements
A State-Owned Bank – to keep the Big 4 honest
Digital Currency – a workable way of making the promise of BitCoin really work
Our fundamental goals are:
- more even sharing of the wealth of our country
- less government spending
- self-sufficiency and planning for any bad times
- increased democracy and citizen participation
- universal income
- legalising
gay marriageand soft drugs - government departments headed by experts, not politicians
